Welcome to the website for the Birmingham City Police Great War Memorial.
571 members of the Birmingham City Police served in the military during the Great War 1914-1918, of whom 50 paid the ultimate sacrifice.
As part of the Centenary Commemorations, this website will be developed to pay tribute to all 571, gathering as much information as possible about all those brave souls who answered their country's call when war came to Europe in 1914.
This work will predominantly be carried out by members of the Military History Society of the West Midlands Police, with assistance from The West Midlands Police, providing access to their archives.
Our hope is to obtain photographs and personal details of all 571 names on the War Memorial located in Lloyd House, Birmingham.

If you have information on any of the names on this website, photographs, documents or memories, please get in touch so we can make this site as comprehensive as possible.
